Est. 2014

Taught in various configuration according to student's work schedule, Adult Art is CAF's secondary level teaching level for "art education" and "art appreciation" lessons for students, ages 16+.   Participation involves either attending consecutive (class) lessons or independent (appreciation) lessons that follow a combination of student declared and implied artistic goals.

The diversity of Adult Art students include continuing art education training, fulfilling younger art-making goals, and realizing achievement and refinement of creative aspirations. Adult students have completed their secondary education, which begins in CAF at age 16. Senior Adults, beyond the age of 60, are recognized and automatically enrolled following the Senior Artist tuition discount.

Adult Art provides private and group lessons, taught at the CAF Grafenwöhr location or (for selected lessons) taught at the student's home, with each lesson designed to inspire, challenge, empower, and fulfill, using various art media and techniques to define and showcase each attending student's own creative styles - understand; create; enjoy!

Basics & Techniques

Basics and Techniques

. . . is CAF's secondary level teaching level for "art education" lessons for students, ages 16+.   Participation involves attending consecutive (class) lessons that focuses on a particular media and/or technique, associated to a master artist.  Attending students analyze, design, create/produce, and present their understanding and creative style within 10 hours, which also includes note-

taking and personal sketches.

The initial and continuing classes for each B&T class is set for select Saturdays; however continuing classes can be coordinated for another weekday, according to each student's schedule.  Also, students can  coordinate weekday sessions, as well as additional sessions to facilitate their art work completion. The results of each B&T class allow students to document their personal creative process and showcase their techniques understanding and creative style.

Participating in a B&T class is an easy and inexpensive way to begin or resume specific art education objectives, in classes that fit almost every schedule and budget.

Come when you can to   understand; create; enjoy!

Private Art Lessons

. . . allows attending students to determine the focus, media, and production outcome of selected, one-on-one concept discussions, artistic referencing, and art-making sessions.  Private Lessons offer students to individually explore and experiment, as well as to express and refine their creative style.  (Extended offer for Youth, 14-17 years on Mondays, 1630-1830.)

Sculpture Night

ceramics

. . . allows attending students to work with clay to produce air dry or kiln-fired clay into various works of 3D art.  Air dry clay can be applied onto various surfaces to enhance any desired design, such as adding a filigree design to a bottle, creating relief designs on a canvas board, and/or just producing a clay monster with protruding teeth.  The entire ceramic process for clay work is also offered, building attending student's creation from clay wedging through glazed ceramics.  (Extended offer for Youth, 14-17 years, schedule hourly.)

Open Paint Night

open paint night

. . . allows attending students to coordinate their work time at the studio. In some cases, just to have more area to work without worry of paint and clay in home furnishings.  In other cases, just for artistic company.  Bring your own tools and supplies or submit the hourly tuition, according to age.  As feasible, work can be stored at the studio, to avoid transportation damage.

. . . allows attending students to complete their morning routine in relaxed, art-making sessions. Over late morning "coffee," each student explores various media and techniques, to reflect a unique creative decision that creates small works of art that can be easily produced, transported, and displayed.

Sips & Brushstrokes

. . . is a themed painting night, inspired by a selected work, which includes easels, canvases, brushes, paints, and a few sips of red or white.  Participating in one of the various sessions that are scheduled for up to 3  hours for a minimum of two participants, attending students create their art within the goals of each session's theme:

Sips and Brushstrokes

- Couples Date Night - uses two canvases, separately created palettes, and "relationship communications," to create their individual half of a single painting, always showcasing more than just their response to the  inspirational work.

- Copy-the-Masters - provides every attending student with their own canvas for a night of independent renditions of a recognized work of ark by a contemporary artist, as well as by artists from any previous art movement.

- Capturing Landscape Moments - asks every attending student to display their photographic understanding, in their own creative style, to capture a landscape moment based on one of the iconic cityscapes from around the world.  (Also as an option to taking a photograph, create your own painting to remember your time in Germany.)

- Open Paint Night - canvas creations result from suggested inspirational works, gathered overtime at CAF and then, randomly selected.  All suggestions are welcomed!

- Ladies Night - each attending student works to create a mixed-media, 2D/3D, multi-technique work to inspire the creative release of the 'feminine ingenuity,' amidst our stories and laughter!

- Family Paint Night - each attending family pre-selects their individual canvas size and art work to create their family version of a single (family selected) work of art.
